When Brian and I were first married my cousin came to stay with us in Pensacola, Florida. She introduced us to Hot Wing Pizza! We’ve made it ever since… My husband loves all the spicy foods. Over the years we’ve perfected the recipe and I wanted to share with you! If you aren’t a lover of pineapple simply omit that step. If you like pineapple give it a try… the combination may seem weird but boy does it work.
Easy Buffalo Chicken Pineapple Pizza
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
Ranch or Blue Cheese Dressing
In a large bowl combine shredded chicken and Franks RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce. I used 3 large handfuls of leftover chicken that I had made in the Instant Pot (you can find out how to make chicken in the Instant Pot here). Stir in Franks RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce to taste. For these two pizza pies we used the entire container or Franks (23 fl oz).
*I recommend adjusting the amount of sauce depending on how much chicken you have.
Add 2 heaping tablespoons of either ranch or blue cheese dressing to the pie crust. Be sure to spread the dressing out evenly. Again be sure to not put the buffalo chicken mixture on the crust edge.
*This Market Pantry (Target) pizza crust had a predefined crust edge.
Arrange the chicken on the pizza crust being sure to leave an edge for the crust. Do not be afraid to make a dense layer of buffalo chicken.
*This step is optional but in our home we really love pineapple on our Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Arrange pineapple chunks on to the pizza.
Spread shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza. Be sure to spread your cheese evenly. For 2 pizza’s I utilized approximately 1 cup on each pie.
Heat your pizza according to the directions on the pizza crust. Be sure to check your pizza every so often to avoid burning. Enjoy!
