Fahrenheit Pizza & Brew, Asheville, NC

Lake Julian, Asheville, NC

Yelp Rarely Disappoints With An Added Bonus: Lake Julian

Fahrenheit Pizza and Brewhouse. If you go you MUST try the garlic knots. Take it from me, order 2
orders of them; we had to order a second round! We learned the hard way. Ha. What is it about being outside all day that makes you feel like you’re starving? Pizza in my opinion is always a good/easy decision. We recommend Fahrenheit Pizza & Brew in Asheville, NC. They had great pizza, fast service and friendly workers. The only gripe is the seating was a bit tight but, they did have picnic tables outside that would have accommodated more people. This little restaurant was quite busy!

Yelp.com definitely didn’t let us down.

Fahrenheit Pizza & Brew is definitely family friendly. We enjoyed spending a little time after we ate outside playing corn hole and chatting away at the picnic tables. The kids also enjoyed writing on the fence with chalk. There literally was something to do for everyone.

Lake Julian Park: A Wonderful Surprise

The night was winding down but, the desire to head back and begin the “wind down” process just didn’t sound like fun. Instead my husband and I drove to Dunkin Donuts for coffee and decided we’d explore our way back to our cabin in Marion, NC. Pretty quickly we stumbled on Lake Julian Park and detoured from our route “home.” What a beautiful surprise it was to pull up to this lake!

Lake Julian is beautiful. The view of the mountains behind the lake were stunning. We immediately noticed families fishing, fish jumping and decided to walk the shoreline as the kids searched for minnows.

*Come to find out Lake Julian is used as a cooling agent for progress energy and is thermal. Who ever even heard of such a thing. I thought that was pretty cool.

Lake Julian, Asheville, NC

Brian and I met a wonderful family that night, right there on that dock. We went from strangers on a beach, to fast friends as we talked about everything from marriage and family to books, faith and Asheville. We watched on as our children played together and the sun started setting. I cannot help but think that God had us make that little detour to Lake Julian. What a blessing to meet such a beautiful family, here’s hoping our paths cross again.

If you visit Asheville, NC and decide on Fahrenheit Pizza & Brew be sure to give yourself enough time to get coffee and head on over to Lake Julian for a beautiful sunset. From my understanding there’s a brand new playground not far from where we were. Had it been earlier in the evening we might have sought it out for the kids to run off some extra energy they had. Overall, what a wonderful evening.
