It’s officially pumpkin EVERYTHING time of year!
I love all the seasonal pumpkin foods and beverages that are out. The husband and I both have had 2 pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks and a couple different pumpkin coffees from Dunkin Donuts and it’s only the beginning of September! I have to admit, we had a PSL before they were officially available at Starbucks.
While I love all things pumpkin buying a coffee every time we are out isn’t a good financial decision for us (It’s like $10 for 2 PSL’s from Starbucks! Insane!). Yesterday I set out to make my own Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer. It came out fantastic!
2 Cups of Heavy Cream, Half-and-half, or dairy/non-dairy creamer of your choosing.
1 14-oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 Heaping Tbsp of Canned Pumpkin
1 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 Tsp Vanilla
In a pitcher combine all ingredients. Store creamer in a sealed jar. Shake creamer prior to using to combine ingredients.
*Pumpkin Spice Creamer may be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
*I used this Bormiloli Rocco 13.5 oz Quatrtro Stagioni Canning Bottle from Target. It was under $3.00 and proved to be the perfect size for this delicious homemade creamer. I even had a little room to spare. You can buy it online here. I’m sure any sealed jar would do just fine.*
I topped my coffee with a swirl of whipped cream and a small sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. It was awesome. To sweeten your coffee add additional sweetener of your choosing.
You could modify this recipe by omitting the pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice and adding chocolate flavored syrup for chocolate coffee creamer. Perhaps you enjoy caramel creamer just add approximately 1/4 cup of caramel (ice cream topping) in place of the pumpkin pie spice and pumpkin.
