Fall is My Favorite Season of All…
Well, I really do love Christmas too but, sometimes the anticipation of Christmas overwhelms me. I do have four children after all. My oldest two children have December birthdays (the 13th and 24th). My birthday is in December as well but, that doesn’t really count. My husband and I also celebrate our anniversary on the 27th of the month. It’s insane to me that we have been married for 14 years this December.
I spend the whole year looking forward to the beautiful colors, flavors and activities that fall encompasses. There’s just something about the crisp autumn air and color palette change that makes me feel all the heart eyes. Give me all the t-shirts, cardigans and jeans. I have so many random fall favorites.
I love all the fall activities that we do as a family from our annual pumpkin patch trip complete with a hayride, corn kernel pits and amazing mazes to caramel apple and that awesome pumpkin cake I learned how to make last year (pumpkin + cake mix =’s awesome!).
I love this picture so much… it makes me smile. Talk about the luck of the snap. ha!
With the last days of September here I am really feeling all the fall vibes. Aside from Maryland having an extended Summer (why again is it still in the 80’s and 90’s?) I’m really enjoying the leaves slowly changing colors. There’s just something about the change of seasons that makes me so happy. The seasonal switch of decor in stores and all the random reminders of thankfulness and gratefulness on signs placed throughout the shelves of stores make me so happy.
I have been slowly putting out our fall decor and purchasing small pieces here and there. I have been really surprised at the really cute, affordable finds at both Target and Kirklands. (I’ve purchased the 2nd, 5th and 6th item in the gallery below and love them.)
I’d totally buy the other items if they were in the store… 🙂
And Can We Please Talk About Pumpkin Spice?
Give me all of the Pumpkin Spice – coffee’s, cookies, creamer, granola, bagels, marshmallow pumpkin candies, ice cream, chili and t-shirts, etc. Oh my gosh, writing that out I may have a problem… I can’t seem to get enough of Pumpkin Spice.
Don’t tell my husband (ha!).
Don’t even get me started on apples…
I can’t wait to make apple pie, hot apple cider, caramel apples.
Anyways, now that I’ve rambled on and on for a while. Thank you for reading if you did… I hope to share some awesome fall recipes (pumpkin chili really is awesome!) and activities, etc. Happy Fall Y’all! 🙂
